Very bright and airy space with extremely high ceilings. Check in was very easy and smooth. Very quiet room at the back of the building. Kitchen was well equipped and spacious, and the bedroom was warm and cosy. Location was perfect, about a 10/15 min stroll to the main bit of the old town, which is gorgeous might I add !! Bathroom was large and modern, and the room also had a large wardrobe. The staff were very attentive and always replied very quick. For £50 a night, the place is 100000% value for money, great value in fact. We will be back soon ☺️
PS: if you stay here, make sure you try the delicious cafe next door (Airomi) with delicious coffee and even better bakes !!
Teething issues really: The floors could have been a bit cleaner; just a bit of dust under the beds and couch which is standard in an old building. There were a few dirty dishes in the cupboards, but there were plenty of clean ones in the dishwasher for us to use. The water boiler does run out quite quickly, but it does state that on the boiler, and is to be expected when staying in the old town.
When it rains, the drops hit the metal window ledge outside of the living room window, which is very very loud for some reason. I think there might be a gutter leak at the top of the building that pours down.
This was completely out of the hosts control, but the upstairs neighbours were moving furniture, stomping, screaming, and sending vibrations through the ceiling until about midnight. They did this on both nights we stayed, and it was very disturbing when trying to sleep.
