The location
It is listed as having a garden view, whereas there is actually no view from the room. You can go outside to a garden through a small kitchen door, however there is no indoor outdoor experience at all and as it was raining we couldn’t sit outside so were very enclosed. When we arrived we thought it was a derelict building, the outside is terrible and although there are renovations from adjacent units, which was blamed for the problem when speaking to the company, it is clearly uncared for, and not clean on the outside and the exterior is very unsettling. Particularly as I was arriving with my elderly mother in law. The only indication that we were at the right address was a spray painted number on a wheelie bin. When I finally found the unit, the door had been left wide open. Prior to arrival communication was given around a $500 society deposit, however a representative of the company rang to say our $1000 security deposit had not been authorised and I needed to organise payment. When I said it was $500 she became very rude and said I was wrong several times. I offered to send her a copy of the email and she very resignedly said, she guesses $500 will do. I did spoke with the owner, who although apologetic and very friendly, did not offer any solutions or compensation.

I like the location. Very close to the beach and shops. Comfortable beds. Nice little backyard.

Great location, close to everything we needed
The exterior of the building is underwhelming & had no street appeal. The lawn area at the back was in need of water - very brown
