Walnut on Russel was like a little home away from home. It actually did remind me of my own home, only on a smaller, tidier scale! The cabin had a cozy little lounge and kitchenette (with dishwasher), with a fabulous bathroom that also had laundry facilities (with detergent). The bed was incredibly comfortable, with a huge fluffy duvet, a spacious wardrobe and electric blanket. Parking was right next to the cabin.
There was a bottle of wine on arrival, meaning i didn't have to go out to get one that night! Such a lovely surprise!
I also really appreciated the boot dryers provided. Even though I didn't get to use my ski boots as there was no snow yet, I did go exploring and wound up tramping through creeks each day. The boot dryers dried my boots out for the next day!
It was also a very short walk into town for breakfast and dinner each day. I will definitely stay again.
Honestly, the issues were so minor they are barely worth mentioning. I needed to put all the blinds down for privacy, and the rain head on the shower didn't work (I had to use the mounted handheld one instead). Again, if feels silly bringing these things up because the place was fantastic!

Location, cleanliness and facilities were amazing. Really appreciated the thoughtful niceties - walnuts from the tree outside, heated blankets, heated tiling in the bathroom and the shoe dryers/warmers, especially in the cold/wet weather!
