Big Canoe Resort was not affected by Hurricane Helene. The hurricane turned east in Valdosta Georgia and went into North Carolina.

Big Canoe Resort is one hour north of Atlanta and includes 8000 acres of mountainous terrain and has 3 lakes, 3 waterfalls, 20 miles of hiking trails, beautiful streams, a marina where you can rent kayaks, pontoon boats, fishing boats, 8 outdoor tennis courts, 6 clay tennis courts, two indoor tennis courts, a 16000 square foot Health Club with indoor pool and fitness center with aerobic classes. You can book a massage or attend a fitness class. If you enjoy picket ball you can book a court. If you enjoy Bocce then can call the Racket club to reserve a court. If you are a golfer enjoy the golf courses which have beautiful mountainous views.

If you come in the summer time then visit the Beach club and have fun going down the rock water slide. Renting a jeep and going down the jeep trail is also another great outing. Renting a pontoon boat at sunset is a highlight of the trip for many guests. Big Canoe has many walking trails and has a baseball field for your family to have an outing for games.

All community amenities and activities that include a staff person will include an additional fee. For an extra fee of $90.00 we can supply a box of seasoned oak firewood from Cutting Edge Firewood or if you want a rack of firewood from Cutting Edge Firewood you can pay $495 for the rack 2 feet by 4 feet.
