Dog walk straight into country park from the front door.
Hot-tub.
Games room - so nice to play darts and pool with the kids in the evening instead of them being glued to their phones/tablets.
Lots of space in the property, lovely kitchen and dining area.
A 30 minute walk to town centre pubs/restaurants.
That there was no backing behind the dart board - sorry about adding some holes to the wall🫣
It was a superb place to stay for us with older teenagers, but the garden is a health and safety nightmare if you have young kids (deep pond, steep rockery) but the garden is obviously an unfinished project and it is evidently being improved.

Humford Mill is a really special place, a beautiful cottage steeped in history and nestled on the edge of bedlington country park. You are surrounded by nature and you can hope to spot red squirrels, lesser spotted woodpeckers and bats in the garden and just over the road you might be lucky enough to see otters in the stream.
The interior of the cottage is spectacular, the bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed evenings in front of the log burner relaxing with our dogs after long woodland walks, which are right on the doorstep! If you prefer beach walks then Blyth is only 15 minutes drive away for a year round dog friendly beach area.
The hot tub and patio area are perfect for enjoying the gardens and nature that is all around. We spent a lovely sunny afternoon just sat chatting in the gardens and enjoying the surroundings.
Tom and Leanne are wonderful hosts, I had booked the cottage as a birthday surprise for my mum and when I spoke with Tom to arrange our arrival time he asked if the weekend was for an occasion. When we arrived they had left a lovely welcome basket with a card and flowers for my mum, which was extremely thoughtful and kind!
All in all, we had an amazing weekend and the cottage hugely exceeded all our expectations having never visited this particular area before. It's such a magical location, it's a slice of heaven for dog owners and nature lovers!
