Staff were lovely very helpful with any questions and helped book slow boat to Laos for good price. Live music bar was an interesting choice but nice to bond and cheap beer, staff also very willing to play games and chat with guests which is good as solo traveller
A bit far away from anything, a good 10-15 minute walk to a 7/11 or any decent restaurants

The ideal hostel experience: affable volunteers, diverse activities and organic socializing. This was best imaginable community to join when passing through Chiang Rai and a great base from which to explore the north. The owners have excellent recommendations and make you feel at home. I only regret I didn't have more days to spend here
