Felt more like house sitting - but very expensive and no luxury involved at all.

The location of the little town of Le Barroux was lovely.

It was unclean and unlike the photos shown online. There was a lot of clutter in the lounge room as well as personal Knick knacks as it appeared to be the hosts own house rather than a luxury stay. We rented linen and towels at a cost of €30 per bed which was a ridiculous price compared with other places in France. The towels were no bigger than hand towels and the pillows supplied were awful. This cost (€90) plus the tourist tax were collected as cash during our stay and added about 10% extra onto the cost of the property. The host also only contacted us over a 3rd party messaging app rather than booking.com. The town house is set over 3 levels and would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or with big suitcases as it was impossible to get them up to the upper levels. The kitchen utensils had caked on food, there was left over food left in the microwave and many of the wine glasses had cracks in them.

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement et le logement spacieux. Les deux chambres avec pierres apparentes et surtout une avec vue sur le mont Ventoux. Sanitaires propres. Le propriétaire était accessible facilement sur WhatsApp et nous a offert des boissons (bières et jus de fruits) comme cadeau d'accueil. Très sympathique.

La cuisine n'était pas nettoyée convenablement. La cuisinière, la poubelle, les façades des éléments, la table ont été nettoyés par nos soins. Pour le prix nous aurions apprécié les draps et les serviettes de bains. Nous pensions avoir trois chambres puisque notée comme ça dans le descriptif et nous avons eu un canapé convertible, confortable mais pas un lit comme nous le pensions dans la troisième chambre sans fenêtre et encombrée d'objets divers.
