What a special, wonderful gem hidden at the border at the Corcovado National Park. If you are here a visit at the NP is not necessary. The family who runs the business is the most kind we've met in Costa Rica. Nothing was too much to ask and we had very delicious breakfasts and dinners. The whole stay was custom made. It felt like a home we didn't want to leave.
The bedrooms have good nets at the window. You will fall asleep with every sound of nature, so relaxing. Because of that you don't need much luxury.
We did a night-tour with Brayan, and it was awesome! Next level and maybe the best tour we had through our whole stay. He has a sharp eye and his determination is beyond borders. The birding at the lodge whas amazing with every day a new surprise.

It was our sixth trip to Costa Rica, and I can honestly say we have never met such outstanding hosts. Rocio and Carlos are exceptional. Rocio prepared delicious, healthy breakfasts and dinners every single day—so good that I happily abandoned any idea of staying on a diet. Carlos’s help with spotting wildlife was incredible, and the night walk with Bryan was remarkably productive.
If there was anything negative, it’s only that our stay was too short. Two days weren’t enough, and next time we will definitely stay much longer.
I also noticed a previous review mentioning limited power outlets or dim lighting. In our experience, the common area has plenty of outlets and everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
And it is definitely bird paradise.

De locatie aan ‘het eind van de wereld’. De plek is prachtig, de tuin mooi, het eten van Rosa is buitengewoon lekker (lokaal, vers en zelfgebakken brood). Carlos is een fantastische gids die elk vogeltje, dier etc met z’n Arendsoog spot. Niets is hen teveel. ‘S ochtends om 5 uur ontbijten? Dat kan. ‘S avonds om
19 uur eten? Kan ook. Mensen met het hart op de goede plek en een fijn gezin dat samen de ‘zaak’ runt (met zoon Bryan). Ik zou zeggen: meteen boeken!
We kunnen niets verzinnen.

Tranquillité et isolement en plaine nature
La gentillesse de Rocias et Brian et leur serviabilité
Le repas de Rocias était excellent ainsi que son petit déjeuner
La coupure d’électricité mais mais très bien gérée par l’hôtelier
