The Lambing Shed is a truly wonderful little gem. It was very well equipped, cleaned to a very high standard and Kate was a very welcoming host. Some useful provisions were left for us on arrival, e.g., bread, milk, butter, jam and biscuits, etc. Although only a one-bedroom cottage, it had a separate shower-room & WC in addition to the ensuite bathroom, which we found very useful. The cottage was surprisingly spacious; the pictures on Booking.com didn't do it justice. We used it as a base to visit Skomer Island, Dale & Broad Haven, all of which it was well positioned to reach with a short drive. Overall, an excellent property; we would definitely stay again if in the area.
Little niggles, nothing that should put anybody off staying here. There was no separate freezer, the fridge instead having a freezer compartment. This only left 3 shelves in the fridge and we only just managed to squeeze our shopping delivery for a 5-night stay into it. Something to be aware of: you are a long way from any shops, pubs, restaurants, etc., which didn't bother us as we ate in every day. There didn't seem to be a blackout blind on the bedroom skylight, so - being virtually midsummer when we stayed - the light streamed into the bedroom from about 4am!

We are repeat guests which says it all. Tranquility, luxury accommodation. Truly a home from home. Hospitable hosts who provide all necessities that you require to just settle in and start enjoying your holiday.
A car is necessary to fully experience the Havens area and you need nerves of steel when driving the one track roads . However, the area is outstandingly beautiful and the Lambing Shed is central to it all.
Thankyou Kate and Glynne. We will return.

The little extra touches like the welcome goodies and home comforts like tissues and waste bins in every room. It was so well fitted out and comfortable with a giant bed and a bathroom each! Being able to sit outside watching the sun go down was a bonus, with the sound of sheep bleating in the background! And the location was within easy reach of Skomer Island which was ideal.
We had no mobile reception but fortunately there was WiFi which was needed. It would have been handy to have more sets of crockery (cups, glasses, plates) so we didn’t have use the dishwasher until the end of our stay. But both minor points!

Het huis is een prachtig verbouwde lammerenschuur. Het is ruimtelijk, licht comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. De Tuin is volledig omheind en de omgeving is rustig. Je hoort geen verkeer. Bij aankomst stonden er een veldboeket en allerlei lekkers uit de regio voor ons klaar.
Wij maken een rondreis door Wales en Engeland. Dit was ons eerste huisje. Ik zei tegen mijn man: Geniet ervan want mooier wordt het niet. En zo was het.
Het supergrote bed in de supergrote slaapkamer is geweldig. De keuken is goed uitgerust en het aanrechtblad heeft een goede werkhoogte. Er zijn 2 moderne badkamers. Je kunt kiezen uit een royale inloopdouche en het bad.
Pembrokeshire is ook prachtig. Het huisje staat aan een wandelroute. Maar ook in de aangrenzende weides kun je al heerlijk rondlopen. Onze hond heeft ervan genoten. En wij ook!
Kate is een zeer hartelijke en bescheiden host die ons tips gaf over de omgeving en heel snel reageert op berichten. Als we ooit nog eens naar deze omgeving terug zouden gaan, kiezen we absoluut voor de Lambing Shed!
De wastafels zijn, vergeleken met wat we in Nederland gewend zijn, erg laag. Maar misschien is dat de Engelse standaard. We hebben tot nu toe gemerkt dat dit in alle accommodaties zo is.
De bank is zacht. Met een extra kussen in de rug hebben we dat opgelost.
