I appreciated that I could park next to my room. The room is clean, well appointed, spacious, and relatively functional.
The lighting in the rooms is not great. There are inset halogen lights in the ceiling - very harsh and bright - controlled by a switch at the door. It needs a bedside lamp or two - an option to have both more pleasant softer lighting, and controlled at the bedside. To turn on and off the light you have to be at the door - which means stumbling in the dark to turn off the lights before going to bed. The rooms overall would benefit with a stronger aesthetic. Though functional, they are needlessly unattractive and lacking in any charm. They’d bring in a better class of customer and higher rates if they had more sophisticated looking rooms. It’s a bit noisy at night, but better than the hotel nearby which is quite noisy from the intersection.

Good:
Hard to find an overnight stay that is clean and comfortable.
The front in check-in woman was lovely and kind.
Very close to the train station, whole foods, five guys, and the Sharks arena with easy parking and a hot shower.
Now, it's not fancy, at all in any sense of the word, so if you are looking for any type of frills-- this isn't the spot
Bad:
My biggest complaint would be the bed is on a metal strange platform. The metal is thin and sounds just like an old empty filing cabinet 🗄️ when you bang the side of it, well same thing here. The bed is situated so you are constantly banging your feet on this thing, and its loud and annoying. It almost was a deal breaker, but if not for the aforementioned good things.

Staff are literally mom and pop
The place is very very clean and well taken care of. I love my stay. Only a few points to improve:
Key card had to be reactivated daily.
Towels need to be checked before giving to guest. They gladly switched them out for me but it was unpleasant to see bad towels with makeup and plastic stcked to it after the dryer. Maybe provide guests with black wash cloth for makeup removal. I brought my own.
Room doesn't need to be made daily. I asked to not have room service not because I don't trust the cleaner. I wanted to reuse the towels, keep 1 trash bag for the whole stay, and save them cleaning time. It was made regardless of my request to the owner and the cleaner.
