If you are a foreigner in Barreirinhas for Lencois experience you can get a better value for money at a local Pousada where you get an actual host that is not pushy to sell you services with an extra charge. The apt is ok but:
- one shower was not working properly, no hot water
- there were ants & cockroaches in one bathroom
- the bedsheets weren’t necessarily clean, especially the pillowcases
- it was not possible to cook as the stove was lacking gas
We met several “friends”: giant spiders, frogs,… while we understand they are part of the experience outside we don’t expect other small insects inside.
The host was available only when interested in selling extra services.
The pool was not inviting at all, not even for a a quick plunge.
