We visited this Island lake villa and bungalow for our honeymoon and from the moment we arrived the view overlooking the Island lake took our breath away. The accommodation itself was beautiful and equipped with everything you could need for a week's vacation. The kitchen had everything for a self-catering place, the bed was well sized and very comfy and there was a well sized TV room for all the relaxing, and the shower had great hot water too to prepare for an exciting day. There were a lot of areas outside to relax and enjoy the view, a tucked away splash pool to relax in, also a larger sparkly blue pool to cool off on a hot day, and a beautiful veranda seating area to enjoy breakfast or dinner while getting lost in a sunrise or sunset overlooking the island lake. The weather in the Wilderness is amazing in February, even on the rainy days there was always a warm breeze.aw2
A big highlight from our trip was that we had a great host- Gordon, who was always kind and has a well of knowledge for activities, hidden gems and eateries in and around the area, always keeping us informed but never intrusive. Always going out of his way to help, which we appreciated so much. He also let us use his kayak free of charge for a little adventure in the lake. The Island lake villa and bungalow is a hidden gem, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great adventure or even just a place to relax and enjoy the view.
Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay, even though we were there for seven days.

Wir konnten sein Kanu ausleihen
Ein Liegestuhl oder auch zwei, um die tolle Aussicht noch mehr genießen zu können, wären schön.
Anfahrt zum Haus etwas unwegsam (Bumpy-Road).
Mit Salz, Öl und Co. Half Gorden schnell und unkompliziert aus.

Amazing views! Well looked after and everything you could need! Absolutely wonderful stay. Owners were very thoughtful and helpful but not at all intrusive.
