Amazing location beautiful apartment

Beautiful historic house, perfectly situated at the bottom of the Porte d'Aube path to the old cité. Sympathetically modernised with a useful kitchen (we only used for breakfast though) and three lovely double bedrooms. The downstairs double has a modern, compact en-suite shower and separate loo on the ground floor. Upstairs rooms share a large bathroom (shower not bath).
The balcony was better than expected - very spacious with good quality table with comfy seats for 6, separate low seating for 4 with table. Fantastic view of old city
I would recommend to friends and would stay again if I return to Carcassone
No shelves in the shower or flat surfaces other than the floor to put your shampoo etc and no shelf in the downstairs en-suite.
No mirrors in the upstairs bedrooms, only in living room. Would be good to have these small updates. Very minor comments.
As the maps shows you are close to the St Gimer church and the old city - that does come with church bells and some passing noise. The accommodation was fairly well insulated but didn't block out everything. The church bells were sounded at 7.05am and 8.05am - odd times!? But not for very long or that loud.

An amazing property!! Perfectly kitted out with modern utilities, very comfortable, and the closest location to the gateway to the medieval city. Shops nearby for food & drinks. And an outdoor area with 5 star views to match! Amazing stay, if we ever come back to Carcassonne we’ll be staying here again. Thank you for sharing!!
