Star Of The Sea Cottage is located directly across from Dunne's Ice Cream and a quick walk to the most photographed lighthouse in New England, The Nubble Lighthouse! Comfortably sleeping 6, this 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage (+ outdoor shower) is the perfect getaway to Maine. Enjoy the amazing views, convenient location and the comfort of feeling like you are home. The owners of this home have taken exceptional care to provide every amenity you will need and an ultra CLEAN environment. You will love walking in and just escaping into the views of the deep blue ocean and the amazing lighthouse. You will even catch glimpses of our local wildlife as the deer, ducks and sometimes fox come strolling across the lawn! We are so lucky in York. We have 4 beautiful public beaches to choose from, and if that is not enough, take a quick ride to Ogunquit and enjoy that public beach, great shopping and dining as well. Or make a day of it and jump on board a whale watching boat or deep sea fishing vessel in Perkins Cove. If bargain shopping is what you are looking for, we have the great factory outlets in Kittery, just down the road. Come back after a day out and wile away the afternoon with a glass of wine and good book. Be careful...you won't want to leave! Downtown York Beach is about 5 minutes from this conveniently located home. There, you will find many more restaurants, bars, shopping, a great playground for the kids and York's Wild Kingdom. This is a zoo and small amusement park. Play mini-golf, ride the Carousel, see the animals and enjoy some cotton candy. Better yet, stroll to Fox's Restaurant for drinks and dinner but save room for ice cream from the famous Dunne's Ice Cream shop directly across the street! Great views, quiet, and very comfortable. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the lighthouse without the crowds. Note : Not easily accessible for disabled or elderly because of the steps & stairs required to reach the main floor.

I couldn't say enough good things about this house and the location! Everything was just perfect for us for the week...the Nubble light house is a short walk around the corner and the ice cream shop is even closer. The deck was an amazing spot to sit and relax and enjoy the views. We loved just relaxing at the house, but we did day trips to Freeport, Portland and Kennebunkport - all were within 45 minutes to one hour, so doable day trips! I would love to come back next year!!
