A typical larger terraced house on a quiet side street, with a kitchen/bathroom extension at the rear and a west-facing backyard (with patio table and two chairs) that gets the sun in the afternoon/evening (see photo).
We chose this for its great location near the town centre for shops, eateries and buses. Bus stop at the end of the road for Lynton/Lynmouth was a bonus.
The owner was very friendly, helpful and responded promptly to messages and questions. Also supplied a welcome of some milk and cookies that was a nice surprise, plus some tea,coffee and sugar.
Bright and airy rooms with lots of storage space in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Comfy bed and settee. Good Wi-Fi. The TV is just for streaming.
Central heating and hot water from a combi boiler. A ground floor second toilet plus a ground floor bathroom with toilet, basin, bath and over-bath shower with good water pressure. Toiletries provided.
Kitchen includes a washing machine, tumble drier, electric cooker (fan oven, grill and hob), microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, kettle, pots, pans, utensils. Most things are quite new.
Also an ironing board and steam iron, and a clothes horse.
As others have said, the decoration, soft furnishings and carpets are older so show wear, but it is still a comfy place to stay for a longer period.
Not a dislike but a suggestion. Needs a stool for shorter people to reach the kitchen and bathroom windows, and higher cupboard shelves
