Loads of places to eat nearby (if you're ok with fast food). The dorm was alright, and bed was comfy enough. The hangout area was nice with a real backpackers vibe, and I liked that there was a balcony with a view too.
Really didn't like having to surrender my passport with security downstairs, especially with my flight being the next morning. I felt untrusted being monitored all the time.
It wasn't initially that clear where the hostel actually was once taking the lift upstairs. And when paying on arrival I had to wait for the correct change to be given, which was annoying when I wanted to use up my cash on my last day. Also had to sign an agreement of hostel rules, again making me feel untrusted.
The shared bathroom was filthy.
Lastly there was a cheap breakfast option. I inquired in the morning, but it wasn't available as nothing had been prepared.
I can see how this hostel could be good at certain times with guests sharing food and hanging out together. But my stay was below par and left me quite unsatisfied.
