Everything was amazing from beginning to end! Staff members are incredible, breakfast is fresh and yammy, the location is perfect. They're always keen to help and provide whatever is needed for us to feel comfortable and safe

I recently stayed at Suda Beach Lodge in Kumba Urembo, Kiwengwa, and had a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, right on the beach, and away from the busier tourist crowds, yet still close enough to explore the area.
One thing that really stood out was the reliable power backup. The lodge has a generator that kicks in seamlessly during outages, which is a huge plus in Zanzibar. We never had to worry about charging devices or being left in the dark – it made the stay worry-free and comfortable.
The beachfront restaurant was another highlight. They serve delicious local cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood. Everything we tried was flavorful and clearly made with care – from the grilled octopus and coconut fish curry to the daily catch grilled to perfection. The staff were friendly and happy to explain the dishes. Dining with your feet in the sand, listening to the waves, was truly special.
The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, with a real rustic Swahili charm. If you’re looking for luxury, this might not be it, but if you want authenticity, great food, and a reliable setup in a beautiful beach setting, Suda Beach Lodge is a fantastic choice.
Would definitely return for the food, the atmosphere, and the peace of mind that comes with having a power backup.

I really liked how clean and tidy the place was, and the staff were very friendly. The location right on the beach with free beach beds was amazing. The breakfast was good, and having a backup generator during power cuts was a great bonus

Naprosto famózní personál, který povýšil ubytování úměrné k ceně na "pětihvězdičkový hotel". Lodge stranou od resortů a navoněných barů, bokem od všenabízejících místních lidí. Oáza klidu a pohody. Ano, nebyl to pětihvězdičkový luxus, ale to ani nikdo neočekával za tuto cenu. Odjížděli jsme ale s naplněným srdcem, jak se někdo tak krásně může starat o své klienty. Děkujeme Miriam i Fatimo! Díky za vše!
Absence generátoru při každodenních výpadcích elektřiny. Klimatizace a tekoucí voda ve večerních a nočních časech občas chyběly. Nedostatečně odsolená užitková voda. Sladká voda by při čištění zubů i sprchování bodla, přiznám se...
