It was a gated community so for two single women, who wanted to stay in a safe environment in Nairobi, it was ideal. The guards on the gates were very helpful with directions to the Imaara Mall a few minutes walk away. The supermarket is open 24/7 and the mall contains shops pharmacy banks and places to eat.
We could lock the gate into the two bedroom bungalow behind us. Bright clean living area with comfortable sofa and chair plus a dining area. Microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer in the kitchen with a gas hob. No oven. The washing machine was situated outside. We used the washing machine and there is a washing line at the back of the property which is a small alleyway. There was an iron available. We used the computer desk in the study as an ironing board. Handy place to keep suitcases. Towels and bedding were clean and fresh. Wardrobes available in each bedroom.
It is literally 10 mins from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We stayed for two nights before our 6 day safari and returned to the property for further nights until we flew back to the UK. Highly recommend the property.
The only thing we could niggle about was the beds were rather hard! But you can’t please everyone.
