The flat's location is unbeatable, in one of Buenos Aires' best neighbourhoods, close to major shops, restaurants, transportation links and all the services you may need.
The host welcomed us, handed over the keys and explained how everything worked. The flat is a great size for a couple and has a balcony with a deck, a small barbecue grill, a water faucet, furniture and utensils, where you can have a drink or breakfast. The view is mainly of other buildings, but because it is high up, you can still see the sky and breathe fresh air. It was very useful for drying our clothes after washing. And that leads me to the interior of the flat: it was well equipped, with a full kitchen, a big fridge/freezer, and a washing machine. The latter was one of the things that made us choose this place over others. The WiFi signal was excellent. We had a great stay.
Although we liked the flat overall, you can tell it's tired in some places, particularly the kitchen and front areas, where what appear to be marks from former water ingress, mould, or similar issues remain on the ceiling. The wardrobe doors were difficult to slide, and the whole wardrobe looked very old and in need of modernisation. The worst part was the shower: the head was very small, the pressure was low, and if you opened the tap fully, it ran out of hot water very quickly. It took a couple of tries to find the right tap setting to make sure the water would last for a full shower.
