The villa was truly wonderful, with excellent facilities and clearly very well maintained by the staff. The location was also ideal, just a short distance from the centre of Canggu. The staff were lovely and accommodating throughout our stay.
We did experience some concerns regarding privacy. There is a service door connected to the kitchen, and it seemed that staff were able to come and go freely through this entrance. On several occasions, staff entered unannounced in the early morning (around 7:30–8:00am) to begin cleaning, which can understandably still be a sleeping time for guests.
As three young women, this made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. We occasionally heard movement in the kitchen and had to call out to check who was there. For example, while staying in the downstairs room, I once thought it was my friend, but it turned out to be a staff member who had entered without notifying us.
Additionally, upon arrival, we were informed that housekeeping would be carried out only upon request or when we were out of the villa, but this did not seem to be consistently followed.
