A well located flat in an authentic part of Venice near the Biennale ... but with some small faults

Excellent location in an authentic part of Venice with more locals than tourists. Blessed with a desirable view, the flat is right by some excellent local shops including a very good fish monger. It is also ideal for the Biennale: seven minutes to the Giardino and the same to the Arsenale. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The area is quiet at nighttime; good news for light sleepers! The flat is functional and reasonably well equipped and furnished. The owner/manager was very responsive and helpful, especiallyfor the problems mentioned below. We asked whether we could leave our bags the whole day in the laundry room and it was possible. We could consider coming back here although it might not be my first choice because of the things I didn't like ... but which can fixed.

The downside of the proximity to the shops is some dirt and smells in front of the house, smells caused by especially the fish shop. Although the flat is generally clean, we were unpleasantly surprised on arrival to find the lounge floor dirty with lots of footprint marks. This could have been linked to the water pump stopping in the basement. I asked for a mop but there was no response to that. The water pump stopped a few times, apparently because of the ambient heat, so I had to go thr basement and press a reset button. The shower door needed fixing as it looked like it could fall and it was difficult to close. There was lots of dust under the beds and the freezer had lots of crumbs, but the fridge was clean enough. Finally, the attractive photo with the champagne bucket and glasses is only suggestive.

Beautiful Venice

Fantastic apartment at the heart of beautiful Venice. The view is spectacular. Quite spacious, comfortable apartment, many thanks 😊

A broom and mop should be available and instructions on where to throw the rubbish

Nice two bedroom appartment in great location and fair price

Great location in the via garibaldi, which offers nice restaurants and breakfast cafes in one of the last „real“ neighbourhoods of Venice, where you can still meet „real“ people, who live in Venice - most of the Biennale spots just around the corner

5 / 10

Fantastic location, ideal if you want to only be there to sleep.

Location is perfect! Nice view of the canal from living room and one of the bedrooms.

The rooms and bed sheets were not clean, the smell of mould is all throughout the building hallways. Didn't get the front door code for hours after initial check in.

posizione, spazi dell’appartamento
