Stunning location, the photos do not do it justice. Especially now in the monsoon season, it is a must place to visit. Spacious rooms set within a red brick Fort like building, big balcony with the view of Panshet lake, the surrounding hills and forest, it is a great place to sit back and immerse yourself in nature & relaxation.
The staff were very hospitable and provided all that we needed, room service was available anytime and food was delivered promptly. Fresh tasting we were happy with all our meals.
Sitting on the balcony I spotted variety of birds including one that was bright red/ orange, never seen such a bird before, butterflies, an eagle soaring in the sky and waterfalls in the distant hills. It is perfect for nature lovers, in fact I wish I'd brought my binoculars!
I'd recommend visiting this place this monsoons or anytime for a perfect peaceful lake view location.
Some items from the menu were not available, but we weren't there for the food.

We went on a family trip to this perfectly located place for a 2 day trip. Overall we had a lovely vacation and absorbed every ounce of the scenic beauty that the stay has to offer. I would recommend this stay for your short trip, you will surely enjoy the spectacular view of the lake, however, it is important that you are prepared for where it lacks so your experience remains uncompromised. Food was good, although, not many dessert options which not important to us.
There are a lots of opportunities for improvement.
The reception is lacking / non-existing and they were not prepared for our arrival. The dining area which is the entry point instead of a reception was not well set up. The staff although very warm, helpful, simply genuine and caring need hospitality. training on how to prepare and provide high quality service. The locks on rooms were not set up meaning anyone could enter, which initially was highly concerning to us, but the area is not populated, and remote, so can be assumed to be safe.
The rating on booking.com and Google is misleading. Considering these points, the price felt high.
I believe the Waves and Vibes Resort has immense potential. Nikhil seemed active and enthusiastic about growth based on good feedback. Do give this stay a chance and you will not regret it.
