Fantastic location, literally just a few steps from the beach. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, and the hosts are exceptionally helpful. Said, his brother and the whole team were always kind and ready to help — they arranged a taxi for us, gave us great local recommendations, including where to eat good seafood, and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was also excellent.
We actually came back the following week. We didn’t stay overnight this time, but we rented surfing equipment from them and they also arranged a surf instructor for us. That probably says a lot about how much we enjoyed the place and the people there. A great spot, especially if you are interested in surfing.
I chose a room without air conditioning myself, but in August I have to admit that I missed having it. Our room was also on the ground floor, so it could get quite noisy when people came back from surfing and cleaned their equipment. These were minor inconveniences compared with the overall very positive experience.

Obviously the location is amazing. Had never experienced living that close to the beach before. But to me, it was immensely significant to talk to the brothers who own the place - getting to ask them questions, guidance, anything - they were always there to help me. I highly reccomend surfing lessons, I know they also do organise trips to all the touristic places - so you basically have everything you need and don’t have to look for a guide anywhere else. The breakfast is what people usually eat in Morocco, so I really felt like I was a part of the community living like people around me. I had visited Agadir before choosing the village- it didn’t feel as real. It felt like it was kept clean and nice for tourists- but do we really travel to another country to see this fake life in a bubble? There are mostly Moroccans in Anza, so you can really observe people living, going to the beach, working and selling their merchandise!!!! Not many places created for people from Europe, but very authentic experience.
Again, highly recommended. Will be back, inshallah!
P.S. Please please please give some water (and food if you can afford it) to the stray cats and dogs. The temperatures are so high and they ARE SUPER THRISTY. 🥺
