A magical home away from home — we loved every moment
We stayed at Sicily Home in Capaci for three wonderful days during our travels around Sicily, and I can wholeheartedly say this place is something special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed personally with such warmth and kindness. We were even able to drop our bags early, which made our day so much easier after travelling.
The apartment itself is a delight — spacious, beautifully kept, and full of thoughtful details that make you instantly feel at home. The rooms stay lovely and cool (air‑con available if you need it), the kitchen is charming, and there is plenty of space for couples, friends, or families. It’s the perfect cozy base to rest and recharge while exploring Sicily.
The location is ideal:
Palermo is only about 40 minutes away by train
Mondello and its marvellous beach are just three train stops away
And Capaci itself has a relaxed, authentic charm that makes you slow down and breathe
We were honestly so sorry we couldn’t stay longer. This is the kind of place you remember — not just for the comfort, but for the genuine hospitality that makes you feel cared for.

It is a basic accommodation, but it has all you met need.
It is rough around the edges and would do with some renovation. The location is good for visiting the city, but it is in a slightly creepy alley (the kids were a bit unsettled reaching there at night)

Die Lage war nah am Bahnhof und gut zum erkunden der Stadt, Vorallem Kalsa
Das Wasser in der Küche funktionierte nicht und eine Mikrowelle wäre praktisch gewesen.

All' interno l' appartamento è appena ristrutturato e dotato di tutto in cucina, in bagno e in camera da letto compreso brioche e cialde per macchina del caffè. È anche in posizione centrale sia per chi arriva dalla stazione sia chi si sposta a piedi in centro
La casa internamente è bella ma era piccola per noi che eravamo 5: è un bilocale con una camera matrimoniale che hanno fatto diventare quadrupla. È a piano terra in un vicolo che fa paura, soprattutto con dei bambini: case abbandonate, gente sempre in strada sia di giorno che di notte, insomma uno di quelle vie da passare oltre. Per fortuna l' appartamento è chiuso da un cancello oltre il quale ci sono solo 4 case vacanze. Essendo a piano terra quando entri c'è odore di umidità. Bisogna adattarsi insomma...
