Rude and aggressive host

Nothing.

We stayed in this apartment during a transition period between places. The apartment was small, the furniture was old, but all in all, it was ok-ish. What was not at all ok was the host. While initially he was very friendly, two weeks after we moved in, we temporarily stuck our name on the mailbox, since I was expecting a manual from my language school. It was only supposed to stay on for that day. He visited the location during that time, ripped off the name from the mailbox, and sent us a threatening message saying that this was not allowed in Germany and that if we did it again, he would kick us out. We apologized and said that we were not aware and that I only stuck that there so that I could receive my manual. He then sent a second threatening message saying that we should not try to register for the address, and he reiterated one more time that if we stuck the name on the mailbox again, he would kick us out. I'm not even sure how we could have registered without his written consent, and I don't understand why he would even think that we were planning to do so just because we put a stupid sticker on the mailbox. This was unnecessarily aggressive and incredibly offensive. It was a very unpleasant experience, and it ruined the rest of the stay for us.

Goed ingericht appartement, net buiten centrum Hannover
