The location was within walking distance to Lijiang Ancient Town and Zhongyi Market making it convenient to explore and have many excellent food options to select from.
The Front Desk staff does not speak English, however, they communicate very effectively using WeChat. They helped me organize a taxi to the airport, and consistently responded right away to questions I had.
I received a WeChat each morning asking if I needed housekeeping. I replied that I only needed bottled water. Housekeeping delivered the water and also changed the towels I had used.
Maison is a "modest" hotel with a nice 5th Floor open garden area and free laundry.
The Front Desk staff need to improve giving accurate directions on how yo reach the hotel from the Train station. When using Didi, the Front Desk needs to inform the location name is Huanman Hotel (Lijiang Old Town Branch), not Maison.

Clean room, good location.
Lift only up to level 4. Need to walk up stairs to level 5 attic.
Attic view is average, Jake dragon mountain peak is far far away, not near as in the hotel photos
