Most incredibly welcoming host family in a stunning mountain location. I loved the warm homestay vibes, the excellent food, and the views, the most glorious views. Saw a variety of birdlife whilst sitting on the terrace overlooking the pool and the valley. The kids enjoyed the good sized pool in the lovely grounds, and the small gym.
It’s a small family run business that is clearly updating different parts of the home at a time (as small businesses have to do, without readily available investor capital) so some rooms (eg some of the bedrooms) are excellent while others need a bit of updating (bathrooms). But it doesn’t detract from the lovely feel of the place, the warm welcome, and the great value for money.

Prachtige, rustige locatie met een geweldig uitzicht. Ruime kamers. Wij hadden er een groot balkon bij. Prima zwembad. Ondanks de beperkte menukaart wel lekker en (te) veel eten

What a wonderful and beautiful setting back in the forest and on a hill. Breakfast, in fact, ALL meals and snacks were EXCELLENT! WE had a room with a very nice balcony and beautiful view. We had a comfortable king bed. The Staff was readily available and very nice.
Before arrival we requested a tub and a room with a tub was made available. HOWEVER, NO HOT WATER was plumbed to the tub, only cold water. (This was a new Sri Lanka experience) We booked this property because they had a tub and just the day before we climbed Adam's Peak and needed a HOT bath/soak to sooth our bodies. The staff called the property owner regarding this and after discussion they said that we could use a tub in another room. For us this was NOT going to happen/work. The 'on-use' hot water heater for the shower ALSO didn't work. When used the electric breaker would keep tripping - this happened to us 3 times and for me water and electricity do not mix, so we stopped using it. In so many words, the bathroom really needs to be upgraded.
