Mandy (host) goes to an extraordinary effort to ensure her guests have an interesting and enjoyable stay. She is a fabulous cook and all meals provided (breakfast, lunch pack and dinner) were nutritious and delicious. Mandy went out of her way to help us with transport and other day to day issues and her knowledge of the local area was very useful. The location was central and a useful starting point for day walks on the Kumano Kodo.

Private, in town. Clean. Very comfy beds
The host was lovely, generous and kind. She even shuttled us to the start of our next days walk, as it was raining, we did not ask her to.
Bit tricky to find. The toilet and shower a bit of a way from the bedroom.

Mandy was an amazing host. This is one of our favorite experiences in Japan. After hiking the Kumano Kodo, we arrived at Guest House Sola. Mandy drove us to an Onsen to help us recuperate from our hike. She then made us a delicious Shabu Shabu dinner. Her guest house was clean and relaxing. It was an amazing experience. We hope to return. Mandy goes above and beyond to help her guests have a wonderful experience.

Das Haus in dieser Umgebung. Die Raumgrösse und die liebe Hilfsbereitschaft von Mandy.. Wir wollten unbedingt in diesem Haus am Kumano Kodo 2x übernachten.
Vielleicht der Preis aber für uns in Hongu ok..
