BEWARE! NOT the apartment advertised/shown!! Complain right away or you will get nothing!
DO NOT BOOK this apartment or with RedAwning or Pelican Residences. I travel extensively using booking.com & other sites to book. EVERY time I book an apartment (apt) it is ALWAYS the EXACT apt shown/described in the pics/description on the site. I booked this apt because the pics/description show a beautiful, modern apartment close to the mall with nice wood floors, modern dining set, 3 seater futon (matching description of 3 beds/sofa bed) & 2 seater love seat (seating for 5,) & a balcony. This was NOT the apartment we got. Our apartment had old, tattered, stained berber carpet, old vinyl cracked, flaking dining chairs, a 3 seater soft (NOT sofa bed) and a chair (so seating for 4,) & NO balcony. This was clearly a bait & switch or deliberate false advertising. I was not going to let this spoil my week & chose to take pics then address the issue after the trip. Though listed, confirmed & charged for by RedAwning, Pelican Residences is the property manager. I reached out to both to seek some compensation for NOT receiving the apt booked. After almost 2 weeks, both have now refused, stating they would have had I addressed it during my stay. So somehow had I contacted these people (who took almost 2 weeks for a final response to emails) on the spot, they would have either addressed the issues (so, changed the carpet out to wood floors, change out the dining set, & add a balcony?) or changed my apartment (THUS admitting they had put me in an apt that wasn’t the one advertised.) RA also claimed I got the apt I booked. I have pictures and 4 adult witnesses stating the contrary. RedAwning and Pelican Residence have acted in a disreputable fashion with me, falsely advertising/representing my apartment. They clearly count on the fact that people aren't going to spoil their vacations to deal with their deception/switching of apts at the time it happens.
