The wigwam is very peaceful and cosy at night.
Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by our interactions with the male owner. Myself and my friends had booked the stay as a relaxing weekend to unwind and destress from our busy lifestyles, but we found the owner to be quite patronising and passive-aggressive, which made us feel uncomfortable and anxious during our stay.
He was frustrated with the fact that we hadn’t read the site manual before arriving, despite the link not working when we tried to access it. We also felt uncomfortable when we asked where to dispose of our rubbish after passing the bins, as the response made us feel as though we had done something wrong.
The accommodation itself was lovely, peaceful and cosy, and we really enjoyed the wigwam and hot tub. However, unfortunately, the experience with the owner took away from what should have been a relaxing weekend.
To add to this, after leaving, we realised that we had accidentally left our Fire Stick behind. I contacted the site around two and a half hours after leaving, once we had already started our long journey home, and offered to pay any postage and associated costs to have it returned. Unfortunately, we were told that we would need to return to collect it ourselves. As the Fire Stick contained personal information and payment details, we felt we had no choice but to make the long journey back to collect it, turning what should have been our final day into a stressful and inconvenient road trip.
Sadly, because of the overall experience and the unnecessary stress caused, I wouldn’t choose to return. The accommodation itself was lovely, but unfortunately the interactions with the owner significantly affected our stay.
