The best way to get there is through Fallen Lake Campground (Day-use parking permits are ~$10). - To escape the crowds in town, head to Baldwin Beach on Lake Tahoe. - Enjoy lakeside activities in town around El Dorado beach and shopping around Stateline. - In the summer, take the gondola up to Heavenly for great views - Adults can enjoy gambling and casino fun in Nevada. - Right behind the house is the Meyers Lake Tahoe bike trail, perfect for walking, running, and biking. - Taylor Creek Nature Visitor Center is great for kids. - Echo Lake is easily accessible from the house with tons of hiking around and breathtaking views, especially in the summer. - Upper Truckee River Loop is a short, beautiful, and easy walk/hike near the house. The trailhead is at the parking lot across from the Lake Tahoe Golf course, less than a half-mile walk from the house. - Mt. Tallac is a great hike for the more adventurous.
