Whale Watching from the Lanai - Oceanfront Condo in West Maui

It would be helpful to be told the real name of the property; the entrance ramp to the garage is tricky to find. The fly screen of a one of the doors onto the lanai was (& still is) quite badly torn. Remote controls for fans/lights may have been switched(?) which made controlling lights and fan speeds very tricky. During the nights we missed having AC.

Spacious property, everything was just like in the pictures. Great location in West Maui. Heated pool and grill were really nice to have after a long day of activities. Washing machine and dryer with plenty of detergent pods was greatly appreciated also. Super easy check-in via door code and parking underground was also very convenient. Definitely an older crowd at this complex, quiet mornings and evenings which we loved. If you're looking for a rowdy party scene, this isn't it.

Not the biggest deal in the world for us, but the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms are thin slotted wood style doors that I'm sure help improve circulation in the condo, but you can also hear everything, and I mean everything, from any room. Helps if you blast the multiple fans that are included in the condo.

Beautiful ocean view where we saw a few turtles. View from living room and one bedroom too. Nicely decorated condo. Happy to have laundry facilities. Close to beaches and trails (by car). Great to have 4 beach chairs.

We reserved for 5 people and the 5th person was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa. However it was not set up with linen and there was no linen to find in the condo. On the note on the fridge it said the sister lives on Maui and her business card was on the counter - but there was no business card. We called the owner and she said we have to deal with it for the night (luckily we had a sleeping bag with us) and slept straight on the mattress. She said a house keeper would bring the linen the day after (we are staying 3 nights). At 1 pm I send a message to see when the house keeper will come. No answer. An hour later we called - no answer. We texted and called again at 5 pm - no answer. So no sheet the second night neither. Another issue was that we originally booked one night (non-refundable) and wanted to add a night in each end of that booking. We tried to get the host to add the extra nights and asked if it would be cheaper. Slow response (a few months). She said in the end that booking.com would be in contact with us due to all those extra fees with 3 separate bookings vs 1 booking. We finally managed to get in contact with booking.com and they said since the host had not separated the cleaning fee, then there was no extra charges.
