Chakk109 is a lovely home with beautifully designed and decorated rooms, where you can enjoy fresh home-cooked food, served with delightful stories from the hosts Ajay Ji and Anita Ji, and their daughter Aastha, at the dining table. We went there for a reading-writing retreat, and found it very suitable for that: I could finish there my 4000-word story which I had been writing since March. The view from the rooms during the monsoon rains is mesmerising. We also enjoyed a musical evening with an excellent sitar performance. This is where arts and artists converge and converse in a special manner.
There was nothing specic that we didn't like. But a tip for guests from cities: in the mountains, one is supposed to live life slowly, so be prepared that some things will take longer than in city hotels.

Its a meticulously perfected homestay! Mr. Ajay and family ensure that you have a great time! They’ll care for you at all times! Not just when youre staying with them but also when youre taking a day trip, they ensure you have ample fruits, water/juice! Hospitality in its true essence is this! He also helped us with the commute when it was tricky during the rains!

Lovely hosts. Made us feel very comfortable. We had interesting conversations over dinner/breakfast. Being parents themselves, they knew how to engage kids. They exuded warmth. We shall definitely go back some day.
Food was wholesome and awesome. Cook is a sweet lady who puts lot of love into her cooking. It was nice to see the hosts help her with cooking. Definitely a positive family atmosphere.
The rooms and the living room are tastefully decorated. And very clean. Especially liked the vinyl player and the collection of retro music.
