Motel El Peñon

I traveled to USA and it has a private garage atttached to the room .. I didn’t need to unload anything I always stay here as a Halfway point. Friendly staff. Checking in is weired with an outside window you can’t see into and a man walks your vehicle to the apt. ??? But is cheap, clean and very safe.

I would definitely stay here again even when its just outside of town,very clean and affordable, check in was easy and very friendly staff to help with my needs.

Reception had a one way window, she could see you, you could not see her. They didn't seem to know about our reservation. The receptionist had to call the manager to confirm. Our poor Spanish made communication difficult I admit. There was a large sign at the front and at every room "600 pesos for 12 hours". We told them we had booked for the whole night. The receptionist was trying to get us to pay 600 pesos even though our reservation was somewhat less than that. Finally she relented after calling the manager again. We arrived in the pleasant room at around 3 or 4 p.m. No wifi but otherwise good. Lo and behold, we get a knock on the door at 6 a.m. to vacate! Future guests be warned! We did get a message of apology from the manager, saying she was away on a family emergency.
