The Reception staff appeared unprofessional and could be practicing customer profiling.

I liked the ground staff. The Porter (Barnabas, he is a gentleman and VERY service minded) and the others guys on the ground, who are responsible to handle practical stuff/things like heating, plumbing job. They are professional and service minded. They do excellent job.

1. The Check-in was a disaster. My experience at the front desk felt like there was a case of customer profiling! We were assigned a DIRTY room there were hairs in the sink and bathroom floor and the entire room floor was dirt stained. I wondered if the beddings were changed or they just had made the bed from the previous occupant! I had made a Superior room booking with twin bed which had been confirmed in writing. I was assigned a double bed! On informing the receptionist about the dirty room and the room not meeting the booking requirements. It took 3 hours to get this resolved. I made a total of 4 calls to the reception. All this time, waiting in the dirty room! They seemed not to understand customer service and that the main issue was that the room was not what we had booked, made worse by the fact that the room had not been cleaned at all. After the long wait, we got an upgrade as a consolation for the terrible service! 2. Second bad experience was the Massage Service. I had booked massage appointment in good time, we also had to wait 1 hr for them to prepare massage room, despite arriving at the scheduled time! Furthermore, on getting to the massage room, I had also waiting time for the masseuse to start work despite informing her that I only needed 5 mins to get a quick shower, since I was clean from the room. Very disappointing experience. It is not good practice to waste other people´s time! 3. The final bad experience. I check-out on time, and the staff confirmed that everything was in order. I waited at the lobby for a while. Then another member of staff who wasn´t involved with my check out, comes to ask me if I had paid! I mean, I had already paid at check in 5 days earlier, she even insisted on taking picture of my receipt. I didn´t like the tone it was done, no courtesy very unprofessional way of handling clients. Don´t Ridge Cabin Resort have a functioning system to track payments and there is a polite way of doing things not openly at the lobby.

A good stay; We will definitely come back again soon

The breakfast was an improvement on what we had when we last stayed here a year ago.

Breakfast: more vegetable choices, bedroom slippers should have been provided as the floors are quite cold
