Es gab einen Code für die Haustür und einen Code für eine Schlüsselbox. Beides hat super funktioniert und war unkompliziert. Es gab 2 Schlüssel für das Apartment, was für unsere Gruppe ideal war Die Wohnung ist sehr gut eingerichtet und hat alles was man für einen kurzen oder mittellangen Aufenthalt braucht. Ein Kühlschrank mit Eisfach und eine Waschmaschine waren vorhanden. Außerdem hatten die Vermieter netterweise Kaffeekapseln für die Nespressomaschine zur Verfügung gestellt. Vielen Dank dafür. Nachdem wir unsere Probleme mit der Klimaanlage geschildert hatten, kam am 3 Tag unseres Aufenthalts jemand vorbei, der die gröbsten Probleme beseitigte (Abfluss und AC).
Die Wohnung war in einem ziemlich abgewohntem Zustand. Im Eingangsbereich der Tür war das Parkett sehr beschädigt, es fehlten einzelne Panele, was zum Stolpern führen kann. In der 2 Duschen lief das Wasser nur sehr schlecht ab. Offensichtlich gab es schon einmal einen Wasserschaden im Bad, weil das Parkett im Flur schon so aufgequollen war, dass sich die Türen der angrenzenden Zimmer nur schlecht oder fast gar nicht schließen ließen. Außerdem hingen bei unserer Ankunft die Vorhänge an den Fenstern herunter und die Klimaanlage funktionierte erst richtig, nachdem ein Mitarbeiter des Vermieters die richtigen Einstellungen vorgenommen hatte. Gerade bei über 30 Grad draußen, ist das nicht akzeptabel. Ein Vermerk in der Wohnung, wie die richtige Einstellungen sind, wäre das Mindeste für diese Wohnung,

Cleaning was very good.

Nice area in Paris (but not a nice building)
Close to Metro, and good local shops.
The booking through Booking.com was a nightmare.
No clear info about damage deposit to be paid a week before stay, in the description of the apartment.
Booking.com had been hacked, and send out a warning that booking data had been stolen, and that I should neglect any further demands.
Booking.com stated "no further payments needed. If you receive mail about additional payments, then it is probably a scam". BUT - it is part of PickAFlats procedure to demand a credit card security for possible damages a week before the stay, before they will inform about the key-codes for the apartment. This is communicated in mails from PickAFlat, send via booking.com, who removes the links to the pages PickAFlat uses to require copy of passport and a damage deposit.
There is a security deposit between 300 and 800 Euros for damages - depending on the apartment.
But - there is no list of what is supposed to be in the apartment, and the content was strange : 2 cups, 5 glasses, no breadknife, 4 flat plates, 2 deep plates. I wondered what missing items we would have to pay for. You must wait 3 weeks, after the stay, before you are informed whether PickAFlat has made any damage claim. (They did not, but the missing checklist leaves you in limbo)
Bottom line : flat is OK and PickAFlat as a business is OK - BUT booking.coms and PickAFlats business models does not fit at all. Booking.com customersupport denies that booking.com removes links, but logically it does not make sense, that PickAFlat should send out mails where they themselves removes the links to the sites they want you to fill out.
The communication before the stay required more that 50 mails, back and forth, and the damage deposit problem was not solved until I called PickAFlat on the phone, and gave them my private e-mail, thereby circumventing Booking.com.
Communicating with PickAFlat in English was not a problem.
