Location is excellent within Bonifacio old town area. The view is superb. Correspondence with the host in advance was great including good advice on some queries we had. The host met us at the ferry - much appreciated - and helped with our luggage up the quite steep stairs to the apartment. The location is ideal for exploring the old town, local restaurants etc. Bonifacio also has a very active waterfront area with many restaurants, boat trips available etc. No need to hire a car - it would be a liability. Bonifacio is a place not to be missed and an ideal introduction to Corsica coming from Sardinia. Overall we favoured Corsica over Sardinia although we only spent a short time in each.
There are very steep stairs up to the apartment, and there was no handrail on a very precarious stairway between the two floors. There was no TV, wifi or aircon. There is no hook for the shower hose in the bath making showering difficult. Hopefully these fixable things will improve over time. Even so, it was a nice place to stay with a great view and location.

Stunning view, excellent location, wonderful host! We would definitely return. We enjoyed our Bonifacio activities but also skipped some we had planned to spend more time taking it in from the apartment!
