The location was excellent; just a few meters away from Lotte Mall, a little bit further to West Mall and Ambassador Mall. The staff are super nice and friendly and even ordering GrabFood was easy to pick up.
The apartment was well furnished with complimentary water (don't trust the tap water!) and a washing machine and drying racks. The view from the apartment was alright, depending on where you look. There's a pretty modern television in the main bedroom with Netflix and the AC in every room. They provided dishware (mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, utensils, dishracks), a rice cooker, microwave, an induction stove, and a double-door fridge. They also provided a baby chair for my traveling toddler. 👶🏾
In the main bedroom closet, there was another drying rack, an ironing board with iron, and a hairdryer and the bathroom was well equipped with a tub.
Some nitpicking:
• the streets are REALLY busy! Wear a face mask if you're going out to avoid inhaling a lot of smog. That's everywhere in Jakarta.
• the bed frame creaked- a lot. I put some small boxes by the frame to make it a bit sturdier, reducing the noise, but not getting rid of it completely. A couple of wooden blocks or a rubber stopper behind the frame would work wonders.
• the shower heads are in dire need of descaling, just an overnight soak in descaler or even vinegar would work wonders.
• the laundry drying racks had the thinnest wires (and some were already broken and unusable).
• there was a constant daily shuffling in some apartment above
• the stovetop was very slow to cook with- a 10 minute meal took 40 minutes to cook
• the oven has no visible instructions/text on the buttons on how to use it; I panicked when it accidentally turned on 😓
• the living room television seems ancient (wouldn't open any app for server connection reasons), so I could only mirror my phone to it
• there was an invasion of mostly harmless, but annoying sugar ants all over the apartment. They tried to make nests in any box they could get in.
• the laundry room/area seems it was a part of the apartment that has been secluded/shut off, so there's an eerie feeling sometimes when entering (and isn't AC'd, but that's expected). Due to the recent volcanic activity, there was some soot that settled in this room; not something that Kozystay could expect, but maybe fine dust screens by the open areas would help.
• the extra drying rack, ironing board/iron, and hairdryer were so well hidden, I didn't find them until a week into my stay 😅. The ironing board was also broken/rusted, so ironing proved difficult.
• Always Check The Toilet Seat Before You Sit.
