Fab quiet location in a small valley overlooking the vines from your deck. Accommodation immaculate and almost like new. We took the opportunity to BBQ on the deck watching the sunset and looking out for the Hawk hunting. Great butchers recommended by Mike in Matakana village. Mike gave us a tour of his winery and a little tasting, we bought a few and very nice they were too. Wine making for this year had just started in mid March
It wasn't a problem for us but it was a few miles from the Village and Warkworth if you wanted to eat/drink out at night. Got to get in the car. Might not suit everyone.

The location is excellent, 3-5 minutes drive to Matakana Village and good cafes and restaurants nearby. It is surrounded by a big vineyard and greenery. Place is spacious, clean and tidy.
Mike is a friendly host and he gave us a short tour of his wine making and tasted his wines.
The dining table is tiny and cooking supplies are bare minimal.
