Dive dude belongas Lombok Mandalika

Our three days at Dive Dude Belongas were absolutely wonderful. The area surrounding the resort is what I would describe as the “real Indonesia”: unspoiled, fascinating, peaceful and surrounded by incredible nature. Viktor is an amazing dive guide who managed to make every single dive truly unforgettable. Diving in Belongas is exciting, adventurous and definitely best suited to divers with a good level of experience underwater. The Magnet and The Cathedral are spectacular oceanic pinnacles, and one of the things that makes diving here so special is that you never really know what is going to appear out of the blue. The encounters are completely unpredictable, and that is exactly part of the magic. During our dives we saw a huge number of whitetip reef sharks, massive walls of thousands of barracuda, mobula rays, sea snakes, trevallies and much more. In the following days, some friends of ours were even luckier and encountered a passing oceanic manta and a hammerhead shark. Belongas is one of those places where every dive can genuinely surprise you. Gili Sarang offers a completely different kind of dive: a calmer reef, full of incredible colours and fascinating macro life. It is the perfect contrast to the more adrenaline-filled dives at The Magnet and The Cathedral, and shows just how varied the diving around Belongas can be. Even if you have never heard of Belongas before, don’t hesitate: if you are a diver travelling through Lombok, this place is an absolute must. It is 100% worth the trip. Nicole is an incredible manager: passionate, welcoming and genuinely attentive to every single guest. You can really feel how much she cares about the experience of everyone staying there. The resort restaurant is also excellent, from breakfast to dinner — and the dragon fruit smoothie bowl at breakfast was absolutely divine! Rooms, restaurant and dive shop are all within steps of one another, there’s a very nice heated pool and everything is nice and clean. Food is good and varied and the entire staff is very kind, friendly and helpful.

Les propriétaires Victor et Nicole sont très sympathiques et prennent le temps de donner des conseils de visites et activités à faire dans la région. Le personnel est gentil et les chambres sont propres. Il y a la clim.

Les propriétaires ont un jeune chien pas du tout dressé qui reste seul à l'hôtel la journée et qui s'ennuie... au point d'essayer de nous chiper nos affaires et de nous mordre. Il ne serre pas jamais fort sa mâchoire, mais ce n'est pas agréable de se retrouver avec une main ou un avant-bras dans sa gueule. Il m'a même bouffé un vêtement qui n'est plus portable. Les chambres sont petites et mignonnes mais très mal insonorisées.
