A very nice apartment with a welcoming and attractive design, in quite a good location, walking distance to the luxury mall Esentai Mall, which has a movie theater and a number of restaurants and cafes. The apartment itself has all the necessities, including a washing machine for longer stays and quite a nice large bath. Bathrobes, toothbrushes and shower gel were kindly provided by the owner. The owner was very welcoming and responded quickly. A special romantic ambience was set up for the 8th of March (International Women's day) which was also a nice touch. The bed was quite comfortable. The apartment building itself is within what seems like quite an upper class gated Apartment complex (Metropol), with a concierge within the building, as well as a grocery store within the community, stocking the necessities and basic food items. The Residental Community faces two large streets and a smaller side-street. In my experience, traffic can get quite heavy in Almaty, so it is good to plan ahead if one wants to take a taxi. There is a nice pedestrian zone along the river Esentai which is also within walking distance. All in all, enjoyed the stay and plan to book again!
