I rate our stay positively mainly because of the location, the pool, the view from the window, the quiet surroundings, the garage space, and the helpful host.
Since there was no mention of bed linen and towels, I didn’t bring any, and only upon arrival did I realize they were not provided. The host delivered them within 30 minutes, though for an extra €30.
As a nice touch, there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the fridge.
All in all, a pretty good stay
What I didn’t like: I didn’t quite understand why I had to sign a separate contract and make a €500 deposit when Booking already has my credit card. I ended up signing the contract and paying the deposit in cash on arrival.
When we arrived it was 35°C outside and just as hot inside. I had booked an apartment with air conditioning, but there was none. The host brought a unit later, but it only cooled one room by about only - 2 degrees, so it was still very hot to sleep.
Also, I lost the key during the stay. The host came quickly and unlocked the door, provided a spare key — but this “service” cost €50.
