We loved that there was a sauna for guests to use and that the cottage had a fireplace. The surrounding area is peaceful and Richard, the host, was super friendly and helpful. We would come back to this place if we had to stay in Castlemaine again.

After being in hectic neon 24 hour cities in Asia for work, all I wanted on the drive home was for the sound of birds and to see the beauty of the night sky. Heartstone delivered in abundance. So cozy and welcoming and... quiet.
the only thing was arriving at night in the dark, the driveway was a bit tricky to spot as maps didnt 100% hit the mark, but lovely neighbour pointed the way, which turned out to be a bonus delightful experience.

The bed was very comfortable and the host was excellent above and beyond the call of duty
Access and depart was problematic if you have a tow vehicle. Sink blocked. Coffee bad bitter taste, one dishcloth and one tea towel for a three day stay, no cleaning products. No dishwasher. Slippery shower for elderly people. Elec plug in bathroom may not comply?
