Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean and the bellman was very friendly and welcoming. The location is good as it is a short walk away from restaurants, however a little bit further out from the high street. Overall, a good stay but breakfast was slightly disappointing.
Breakfast had to be pre-ordered at check-in which was a bit frustrating and we would’ve preferred to have time to do this by the evening atleast. Some breakfast items were also quite dry and the waiters said this was because the breakfast is prepared early morning and left until the guest arrives. This is a shame because it meant breakfast wasn’t great quality and could have been a lot better. We were also visiting someone staying at the hotel a few days before we checked in and were told we weren’t allowed to go to their room due to hotel policy, this would have been understandable had it been different clientele but given this was 2 older women and a daughter, we found this strange. Especially as many high end hotels in Colombo allow visitors!

Great location, large rooms, friendly service.
The front of the building is not the entrance of the hotel (but used as venue), entrance is through the garage. For breakfast you have to exit the property and go to a near coffee place.
Large empty spaces, doesnt feel cozy.

The room was beautiful, as was the pool area.
We did not receive a warm welcome at all. Nobody helped with bags. We asked for two key cards and they kept requesting the second key card back. It was really odd. On arrival they told us there was no alcohol as their liquor licence had expired and we could go to a shop and get some... Which was not what we expected. You don't enter through the front of the hotel, there is a side entrance round the back near the bins and the garage which is not very welcoming.
When we left we were made to feel like criminals as we checked out and I had to sit for over 10 minutes while they sent housekeeping to check the room.
Really not the service I expected at all.
The breakfast was really unpleasant with the exception of the fresh fruit.
