Excellent quiet location in a Estepona Old Town. Very close to beach and lots of nice bars and restaurants. Characterful property decorated with some interesting and unique artwork. Small rooftop pool a real plus point. Small garage was great.
So, the first thing to say is that this is a great property and if it was for sale I’d buy it in a heart beat! My husband loved it and disagrees with my opinion (nothing new there then!). The property is very ‘shabby chic’ which looks great in a property of this nature but, in reality when staying for a week, I just found it not to my tastes. The main bedroom was very dark with only small bedside lamps. This made nighttime reading almost impossible. There was just a rail for hanging clothes with a couple of shelves which I hated as I personally like things neat and tidy and hidden away from view. The room is also quite small and I would say that the upstairs bedroom is way more spacious and light for 2 people but this room doesn’t have an ensuite. The living room/kitchen area is also very dark and the seating in here is very uncomfortable. There are 2 garden type chairs in the passageway which is where we generally sat when needed. The outdoor rooftop terrace looks great but again, quite uncomfortable and it loses the sun late in the afternoon which is a pain if you want a bit of evening sun. This property would really benefit from some nicer soft furnishings, better lighting and more storage space.

The location was superb, minutes to the beach and in the middle of the old town with great restaurants to choose from. The small pool was a bonus and if you have a fiat 500 size car you can park in the garage under the property. The hosts were fantastic giving lots of lovely recommendations.

Estepona is absolutely beautiful! location of the property was perfect, in a quiet quaint street. Local groceries just around the corner. Restaurants very close by. The sea and shops 3 min walk. The plunge pool was fabulous and the property was very well equipped with crockery and cutlery.
Loads of towels for pool use too.
Outdoors is a fabulous space, just a shame that only reached by steep steps.
The upstairs bed was very comfortable.
Washing machine and dishwasher were great.
The property was a little disjointed, the top floor bedroom only had a toilet and wash basin. The shower was on ground floor only reached by two lots of dangerous stairs. One the original stone steep steps. The other outside by a metal staircase, both of which were very dangerous if you have mobility issues. So carrying anything to the roof terrace was tricky.
Also, I had to lock 3 doors when you left the property and at night felt a little tiresome.
Some equipment needs replacing.
There was no bed change for the 10 days we were there.
I think the property would only be useful for a couple due to the bedroom and bathroom layout as the second bathroom you have to pass through the kitchen.
