The overall design and colour combination.
Walking distance to the train station and the bus to Malpensa Airport (approximately 8 minutes).
Very clean and well maintained building wiith small but fast elevator.
In the historic city center with a large variety of restaurants and cafes but this being Gallarate do not expect culinary miracles.
When I read that check in is between 15:00 and 18:00 before booking I thought the host is inexperienced because it is so narrow a check in window.
The main problem is there are several "hurdles" during check in.
The building has a gate before you reach the building entrance and it was shut on Sunday at 10 am when I left and also at 19:00 when I returned.
Luckily my check in was a day earlier so I did not face a problem (the host said she was "at the lake" and unable to come to check me in but she can open the main entrance door remotely. Alas, that door too can be locked in which case the remote opening facility won't function.
The third hurdle is that when you punch the code for the second entrance to the main floor where the apartments are located it won't open the door if someone used the knob to lock it (there is a sign warning people not to do it but what if someone does). Floor code is the same as the apartment code (probably all apartments have same code) so safety is compromised, do not leave valuables in the apartment).
The fridge is noisy most of the time so staying on the first floor is uncomfortable if like me you are sensitive to noise.
The kitchen lacks basic tools such as a wooden or plastic spoon for stirring when cooking or sugar and the pasta net is tiny.
There is a clothes washer but no drying rack so I dried my clothes on the exposed hangers and stored my clothes in the drawer under the bathroom sink.
My advice is have a functioning phone with you else check in will be problematic.

Location e Arredo fantastici. In pieno centro un appartamento che non ti aspetti. Ci siamo trovati benissimo in un ambiente super smart. Host diretto ed affidabile, consigliato a tutti i viaggiatori.
