The bathroom/shower was really nice, and the room was the same as the pictures. It was also really lovely how they let me drop my bags off early.
I would have liked a piece of paper or a message on booking.com with information on the property and WIFI, and more of a rundown of the house/facilities, because I didn't feel like I could use the kitchen or the garden (although checking back on the listing, it looks like I could have). Also, I couldn't find a trash can in my room.

Great bed. Comfortable place to lay my head.
Shower fluctuated between hot and cold. Wasn't able to get a shower in the morning. Also no coffee or tea on offer.

it was convenient for where i needed to stay and in a family home. It was quiet and I felt safe but not having a key may not suit any female guests.
it lacked a welcome, basic information, home comfort and even something like a glass for water would have been helpful. I felt very much like an inconvenience in someone else’s home rather than a guest.
Quite an odd experience even when you consider I was forewarned this was a room in a family home, everyone seemed surprised by my presence.
Whilst they were doing their best and clearly trying to earn an extra few quid renting a room out, this is not really a booking.con type room, more like going to stay with a distant relative who is as confused as you are at having to provide you either a bed for the night.
