About this apartment rental
Welcome! Our 2-bedroom apartment is located tucked away in the West End of Portland with easy walking to great restaurants, bars, parks, shopping, music, and museums. Our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in Portland. The apartment features 2 queen beds, bathroom with bathtub shower combo, and all the essentials like heating, WiFi, and window AC's in the two bedrooms during the summer months. Our peaceful retreat will provide a cool atmosphere for guests to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city.

Lots of unique vintage decor that's always evolving and plants throughout the apartment. The first floor includes the dining room, living room and the freshly renovated bathroom which is off the kitchen. The kitchen has a gas stove, new refrigerator, microwave, blender, and toaster oven. We also provide a coffee grinder, French press, and plenty of pots and pans for cooking.
Both bedrooms are upstairs and have queen size beds. The front bedroom has a closet, where you will find the ironing board as well as extra bedding, while the back bedroom has a desk. All windows in the bedrooms have room darkening blinds. There are towels in each bedroom, but if you need more there are extras stored under the sink in the bathroom. In the summer months there are A/C units in the upstairs bedroom windows.
Please note that we are in the city. Most of the time our street is quiet, but from time to time we are reminded that Portland is a city.
The building is old (built in 1900) and the apartment is part of a duplex, so you may hear the neighbors from time to time.
While we welcome children, please not this house is not "child proof". The stairs are steep and there are no gates. If you need any kid equipment such as a highchair or pack n play, please let us know and we would be happy to provide them for you during your stay.
Parking:
We have one small uniquely positioned spot available for guests with compact cars who feel confident in their parking skills. It is in between our building and the building next to it and to park there you MUST back into the space. While this spot is kind of a pain to access, it is definitely a luxury to not have to find street parking. Sometimes you may have to back down our entire street to get into the spot, depending on the number of cars our neighbors have parked in front of their house.
During the winter months the spot may not be available due to snow accumulation.

Elizabeth and John are such terrific hosts! Super communicative and attentive, and the place is exactly as advertised. Such beautifully cozy decor too! Count your lucky stars for off-street parking too, what a luxury in Portland!

Apartment was very clean and the location was wonderful. Easy walk to the Portland Art Museum and the Old Port - where we spent most of our time. Fortunately we had a small car (a Toyota Prius) but it would have been impossible to park anything larger in the designated spot, so I urge others to read the fine print in this listing when it comes to parking. Elizabeth, our host, replied quickly to all our messages. I would also point out that the stairs to the bedrooms on the second floor were pretty steep, and being in our 70's it was a little daunting. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The home is located within walking distance to downtown. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had everything we needed.
