The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful. nothing was too much trouble for them. It felt like they were old friends rather than employees.

We had a wonderful weekend at Halketha, a peaceful countryside retreat ideal for families, couples, or friends looking to unwind. With limited mobile reception, it's a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature.
Our spacious room had a private plunge pool and two bedrooms — perfect for a family of 3 or 4. The garden is full of local fruit trees, and guests are welcome to pick and enjoy them.
The food was exceptional — three generous meals a day, plus fresh juices, fruits, and homemade pickles throughout. The staff were warm and attentive, and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay special, even taking us on a hike through the village and a fun tractor ride around the property.
Only 1.5 hours from Sinharaja Forest Reserve, Halketha is also a great base if you’re planning to explore the rainforest.
Highly recommended — one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka!

Hidden Gem alert ⚠️ this place is magical. The location is breathtaking and also the the owner and staff. Very friendly and taking care about the guests. I didn't expect this kind of place before I come here. But this place exceeded our expectations. Specially authentic food was very delicious. And the owners, Nelumi and her Husband also very friendly. Chithra's food is amazing and Manoja's service remind us home. Surely I'll be back. Highly recommended place
