1)) Inadequate communication from Booking.com pre-check-in -Booking.com gave me a check-in of 4-6pm which was too early for us when in fact it was self-check in. This caused last minute aggravation 2)property is a family home and was not adequately prepared or cleaned for our stay and use 3)The carpets and furnishings are old, stained and grubby throughout 4)the cupboards are crammed untidily with the family's stuff, smell musty and were not accessible for our ease and use 5)the kitchen floor was sticky and dirty and kitchenware in the drawers and cupboards was sticky, dirty and not organised for our use 6) there was no clean linen available for the sofa bed on the first night 7) the owner's communication on the day of arrival was slow, and did not provide urgent or good customer service. We checked-in after 9 pm after a long day and journey and could not find what we needed 8) the sofa beds are old and basic and not fit for adults -we were six adults in this property 9) one of the bathroom doors did not close or lock 10) the washing machine was not immediately available for our use-it had wet washing in it and house linen was still wet and drying in the utility area 11) no key provided for the lift -so we had to carry our luggage and shopping up/down three flights of stairs 12) windows don't open fully-it gets very hot 13) we informed the owner the TV in living room was not set up to work-in the end we spent 2 hours getting it to work
